I guess the news shouldn't come as a surprise to many that have followed along with the story from its conception or those just joining. But unfortunately Dark Rising has been discontinued. I was writing this story as part of a collaboration with a friend of mine but it seems the partnership is no longer of interest at this time and I simply cannot continue the story alone as I have several other projects ongoing. I want to apologize to everyone who found Serenity's tale interesting and intriguing and I hope one day that I can find the time to get back to it even if it will be a solo project but time does not allow for that right now. Thank you for all of your support and interest and I hope our paths will meet again.

After a few more questions and dry answers that only confused her more, Serenity dropped the subject and refrained from talking for the rest of the day. While some things could be and were explained, the holes and looped replies confirmed that there was more to this story, so much more to it. Omega had not explained the connection she felt with Lucian or really put a title on what had occurred between them but the look in his eyes each time she’d mentioned his name was telling all on its own. He’d kissed her. In her dream, as she laid within his arms, he’d kissed her so gently. Each minute spent reliving it as she strolled through the garden alone brought back more details and feelings from that day. It’d felt so real, hurt so bad, and til this very moment, frightened her to know that she was in the presence of an unknown enemy.

Omega led Serenity to the far side of the garden closest to the Koi pond to afford more privacy than the house permitted. She took a seat on the swing at the back of the gazebo wall and looked up at him as if asking him to join her. Instead he stood, looked over the rest of the garden and ignored how the lights submerged in the water gave her skin a beautiful glow. Something had happened since her dream. Her movements were slightly graceful and her eyes looked as if a light had been turned on behind them. It was almost as if something inside of her had been awakened; as if her soul was coming out of a deep sleep.

Omega paced around the tiny room. It had been years since he was here and his return trip was not of his choosing nor would it have been. Saints Haven, the training center for new recruits, Angels on the way to sentencing and the Headquarters for the Sentinels, was a place that prided itself on abiding all rules and making sure that was well known.

Serenity took a step back from the two figures as she was escorted inside of a room lined with cushy chairs, plush rugs and throw pillows. She looked around and noticed the faces of the others as they all stared and analyzed her.

“Mom?” Serenity backed away with her hands over her mouth. The creatures lips gave way to a set of sharp fangs and her blackened eyes flickered underneath the bright lights in the kitchen. The smugness in her smile said she knew her presence was getting the right response and judging from Omega's actions, he'd wasn't expecting it to have been her.
